  About Us
OUR MISSION

To help chronically ill, frail, elderly and homebound retain their independence by forming personal relationships.  Volunteers will encourage care recipients to maintain or increase meaningful social  interactions.  With volunteers performing chores the care recipients can no longer perform, this will enable care recipients to live safely in their home preventing premature institutionalization.

Faith in Action of North Lakeland is an affiliate of the of the National Faith in Action Organization.  Faith in Action of North Lakeland was organized by Executive Director Mildred S. McMillon in 2003 and incorporated as a 501 (C) (3) organization in 2006.


 

ELEMENTS

1. Interfaith- a coalition of all faiths reflecting our community.

2.  Volunteer- a volunteer provides one-on-one services to seniors.

3.  Caregiving- helps with simple, everyday tasks such as shopping for groceries and reading. 

4.  Long-Term Health Needs-services are provided to the frail and elderly.

5.  Home Based- the focus of service is the senior's home.
